Lewis Hamilton secured a sensational pole position for the Mexico City Grand Prix, edging Mercedes' George Russell by just 0.009 seconds in a thrilling qualifying battle. However, the biggest shock came from McLaren's Oscar Piastri, who suffered a stunning Q2 elimination and will start Sunday's race from 13th, leaving teammate Lando Norris as McLaren's sole representative in the final qualifying segment.
