Speaking of consistency, Pato O'Ward despite his toxic relationship with the Indy 500, has made a brilliant start to the 109th edition. With an average of 232.820.

A competitive and consistent run from Ericsson with a four lap average of 232.132, only slightly dipping into the 231's on his final lap. A huge improvement on his effort last year.

Marcus Armstrong HAS been seen and released following a huge crash in practice this morning, he is not yet been cleared to race and it will have to be a big shift from his MSR team to get his road course car ready.
