Fresh from the commentary booth, on the other side of the team, Jack Harvey went for a completely different option, his Dreyer & Reinbold racing car seemingly having a lot less downforce than RHR. He went a full MPH faster on his first run but the time bled off as the tyres started to scream. Despite this, an average of 230.348 still puts him ahead of his teammate in the pecking order, going to sixth.

The first of two consecutive Dreyer & Reinbold Racing cars, 2014 winner Ryan Hunter-Reay sets an unconvincing yet incredibly consistent average speed of 230.236, his car struggling for outright pace.

A competitive and consistent run from Ericsson with a four lap average of 232.132, only slightly dipping into the 231's on his final lap. A huge improvement on his effort last year.
