MP Motorsport racer Richard Verschoor believes he had plenty of pace during the 23-lap Formula 2 sprint in Qatar. The Dutch driver started the Saturday sprint from reverse grid pole, briefly overtaken by AIX Racing's Joshua Dürksen off the line. Verschoor would regain the lead only laps later, untroubled on his way to victory.

F2 pole-sitter Ollie Goethe has received a three-place grid drop for this weekend's races, after being found guilty for impeding Rodin Motorsport's Martinius Stenshorne during qualifying for the Qatar F2 weekend on Friday.

The Formula 3 Sprint Race in Monza got underway on Saturday at 09:15 CEST (8:15 BST), with Tim Tramnitz of MP Motorsport taking the final Sprint Race victory of the 2025 season. He was followed by Roman Bilinski of Rodin Motorsport in second and Martinius Stenshorne of Hitech TGR securing the final podium spot in third.

MP Motorsport’s Richard Verschoor netted his best qualifying finish of the year, in third, just 24 milliseconds shy of pole-sitter Leonardo Fornaroli’s lap time. The Dutchman highlights improved communication and extracting more qualifying pace as key to his season’s progress. 

The 2025 Formula 2 season is all set to peak as the drivers head into the Red Bull Ring this weekend. The spotlight is set on two experienced, multi-year F2 drivers, split by two rookies in the top four. It marks an exciting dynamic in the story of the 2025 F2 season.
