Finnish driver Tuukka Taponen will be stepping up to Formula 2 in 2027, as he reunites with ART Grand Prix for his maiden season in the championship. Taponen, a Ferrari junior, finished third in the recently-concluded Formula 3 season for MP Motorsport.

Tuukka Taponen secured pole position for the Feature Race at the Madrid F3 round after a dramatic Qualifying 2 session, beating Pedro Clerot, Taito Kato and championship contender Ugo Ugochukwu to the top spot.

Tuukka Taponen of MP Motorsport took his maiden F3 pole position at Hungary. He is followed by Freddie Slater of Trident and Mattia Colnaghi of MP Motorsport.
