Cammie Sturch- the racer with an artistic flair.

Written by Tanishka Vashee, edited by Esmée Koppius

Cammie Sturch is a sim racer who competes for Fordzilla, the official Esports team of Ford. She has had great success in a lot of categories, which include gaining an “A Rank” in Gran Turismo sport. She also finished second in her iRacing division and 33rd worldwide! All before being spotted and trying out for Fordzilla in 2020.

She is also the only esports ambassador for Racing Pride, a British organisation which is pushing for diversity and inclusion of the LGBTQ+ community in the not so diverse world of motorsport.

As a transgender competitor, Cammie wishes to promote inclusivity in the fast growing world of esports. She wants to make sure that the community have themselves represented at the very top-flight of esports racing.

Cammie studied computer general arts and animation in college after which she worked as an animator and she started sim racing as a hobby. However, circumstances changed and she decided to pursue a career in esports and keep graphic designing and animation more of a freelance job.

After achieving the “A Rank” and second place finish in 2018, she had to stop racing for a season because the place she used to work for had to shut down. In 2019, she decided to take sim racing more seriously.

She was the creative mind behind Racing Pride’s Formula Renault livery which received a lot of love online.

Cammie wishes to achieve in esports what Charlie Martin has achieved for transwomen in esports. We at Divebomb wish her good luck for the future and hope that she can accomplish all that she dreams of!
