This morning Italy has woken up with quite a speculation: Jean Todt is apparently set to return with Scuderia Ferrari for the 2022 season. Todt’s contract with the FIA will end at the end of the season and he has proposed to the Maranello based team to return as a super-advisor.
Jean Todt should help Mattia Binotto in politics and the sports team’s decision to bring back Ferrari to the win. His role will be similar to that one that Niki Lauda covered with Mercedes. Do you think it is only a rumour?
It is believed John Elkann, Ferrari’s president, has already started an interview with the Frenchman to define the contract of this new position.
