2021 was an important season for Williams, the team managed to score some points at the Belgian Grand Prix ending the drought since 2020. The new regulations for 2022 bring in hopes for resurgence of the iconic team. Covers have been taken of the FW44 revealing this season’s royal blue challenger with hints of red and a gradient of various shades of blue along the rear, giving it a fresh new look.

The new season at Williams will see a new driver pairing at the helm of their team, Nicholas Latifi will be racing another season for them while George Russell, heading to Mercedes, will be replaced by Alex Albon. The British-Thai driver will be returning to the sport after a year of being on the sidelines as a reserve driver for RedBull and its sister team Alpha Tauri.

The car has been designed under the leadership of Francois-Xavier Demaison, who joins the team as its Technical Director. The incoming technical director was previously working with Volkswagen on their World Rally Championship programme.
