Following the 30-minute Formula 2 qualifying in Abu Dhabi, Campos' Nikola Tsolov and DAMS racer Kush Maini have received penalties for their respective infringements during the session.

DAMS’ Jak Crawford likened his Formula 2 pole in Baku to the breakthrough he achieved earlier in the year, when the American secured pole position in Jeddah after going three races without scoring points. 

The 2025 Formula 2 season is all set to peak as the drivers head into the Red Bull Ring this weekend. The spotlight is set on two experienced, multi-year F2 drivers, split by two rookies in the top four. It marks an exciting dynamic in the story of the 2025 F2 season.

DAMS are certainly a team on the up in Formula 2 in 2025. Having scored no points in the first three races, the duo of Jak Crawford and Kush Maini amassed 73 of their 94 points in the previous triple header. 

For the best part of four Formula 2 weekends, DAMS racer Kush Maini had failed to break into the upper echelons of the top ten. Several factors beyond the Indian's control had hampered the start to a new season with his new team, before a breakthrough weekend in Monaco followed up a season best third in qualifying at Spain.

It hasn't been the ideal start for Kush Maini and DAMS since the duo joined forces for 2025. But, seldom do opportunities to take a special victory around the history-laden streets of Monaco arise, and the Indian racer duly took it with both hands, converting reverse-grid pole to victory.

Jak Crawford took his first win of 2025 with a measured drive around Imola, keeping the chasing Arvid Lindblad behind on his way to the flag. Luke Browning put Hitech TGR on the podium, making his way up from fourth on the reverse grid to take his third podium of the season.

DAMS racer Jak Crawford took a surprise pole for the DAMS outfit, their first since the Australian GP weekend in 2023, giving the French outfit a major confidence boost heading into the Jeddah weekend.
