An announcement long in the making has finally been made official. Mahindra Racing have committed their continuity in Formula E all the way until 2030 — when the Gen4 era will come to an end.

Reigning Constructors' champions Porsche have officially confirmed their decision to run four factory cars from the upcoming Gen4 era in 2027, effectively setting up a junior team to provide a pathway to help nurture and raise junior talent in Formula E.

Formula E and the Federation Internationale de L'Automobile (FIA) unveiled a radical, striking prototype of the Gen4 Formula E car to the public, featuring a fresh design and marking a major transition from the current Gen3 Evo Formula E cars.

As Formula E veers towards its Gen4 era, significant news coming in will see one of the sport's newest names disappear before the new set of regulations come into effect at the end of 2026.
