Trident’s Laurens van Hoepen took his third Formula 2 podium in the Hungarian sprint race, fending off Invicta’s Rafa Câmara towards the end. It was a third F2 podium for the Dutchman, and the first since he last appeared on a podium in the Miami sprint race in May.

“It all starts by drinking a little water,” Trident’s Laurens van Hoepen would say when asked about keeping up with the intense heat. For F2’s grid in Austria, the challenge begins even before the lights go out. Formula 2’s upcoming Austrian weekend is set to be a sweaty affair. As such, the FIA have already declared a heat hazard ahead of the race weekend at the Red Bull Ring.
