Campos racer Noel León has been disqualified from the Formula 2 Feature Race at the Circuit de Spa-Francorchamps, with the Spanish team also reprimanded over the course of the weekend, due to a major infraction during the red flag period.

Campos racer Noel León has lost his quickest lap time from Formula 2's qualifying in Spa on Friday, after the stewards revealed he was the sole cause of a red flag during the 30-minute session. This decision sees the Mexican driver lose his fastest lap time of the session, demoting him to the rear of the grid for the pair of races.

“On my side, I was always trying to go for pole,” Campos racer Noel León responded. León had just taken a stellar maiden pole position in Austria, pulling off a strategy few would look to pursue in Formula 2 qualifying.
