MP Motorsport racer Richard Verschoor believes he had plenty of pace during the 23-lap Formula 2 sprint in Qatar. The Dutch driver started the Saturday sprint from reverse grid pole, briefly overtaken by AIX Racing's Joshua Dürksen off the line. Verschoor would regain the lead only laps later, untroubled on his way to victory.

Richard Verschoor took a calm victory out front in Qatar during the Formula 2 Sprint Race, as chaos behind him cost Nikola Tsolov the chance at a podium on his debut.

With just four races to go in Formula 2's 2025 season, five drivers still remain in with a shout of winning the title. However, a topsy turvy qualifying has dealt a heavy blow to two names on the grid this weekend. F2 pole-sitter Ollie Goethe has received a three-place grid drop for this weekend's races, after being found guilty for impeding Rodin Motorsport's Martinius Stenshorne during qualifying for the Qatar F2 weekend on Friday.

MP Motorsport's Ollie Goethe took his maiden F2 pole in a deciding qualifying session in Qatar, snatching the position in the final moments from championship leader Leonardo Fornaroli, while ART's Victor Martins finished in the top three.

AIX Racing's Joshua Dürksen comes into Formula 2's Qatar weekend sitting just 10 points off tenth-placed Sebastián Montoya in the standings. With the final two weekends featuring four races, the Paraguayan racer believes a second top-ten finish in F2 is "very possible".

DAMS’ Jak Crawford likened his Formula 2 pole in Baku to the breakthrough he achieved earlier in the year, when the American secured pole position in Jeddah after going three races without scoring points.

The F2 grid returned to racing action at Monza, but it was status quo at the head of the field, as championship leader Leonardo Fornaroli took his fourth race win of 2025, holding off the charging Campos of Arvid Lindblad in a fight to the final lap on home soil.

After taking his maiden Formula 2 pole in a stop-start qualifying session in Monza, Hitech TGR racer Luke Browning believed he hadn’t quite extracted the maximum pace from his car during the 30-minute session that featured three red flag stoppages.
