BREAKING: FIA reveal 2027 calendars for F2 and F3

The FIA Formula 2 and Formula 3 championships have revealed their respective calendars for the 2027 season, including exciting new venues for both series.
Formula 2
The 2027 F2 calendar will feature 14 rounds, with the big news being the return of the series to Montreal and two new tracks for the category.
F2 debuted at Montreal in the 2026 season after cancellations of Sakhir and Jeddah early on in the season. After what was an exciting weekend of racing for the series, the FIA has announced that they will be returning to Montreal alongside Formula 1 at the end of May.
Additionally, F2 will be heading to two new venues, Istanbul and Mexico City. These additions were primarily made to spread out the schedule. Both of these new race weekends will take place in October, giving less than the traditional two-month gap before the final rounds of the season.
The 2027 schedule will kick off with Bahrain in March, and will conclude with the traditional Abu Dhabi finale in December.
Speaking about the upcoming season's calendar, FIA F2 CEO Bruno Michel commented: “I’m very excited to add three new venues in a financially sustainable way, with the return of Montreal following its surprise addition in 2026 and the first appearance of Istanbul and Mexico City. We will be covering freight costs so that the territorial expansion of the calendar does not financially impact our teams.
"With a calendar spanning four continents and a carefully distributed sequence of Rounds, the 2027 FIA formula 2 Championship will offer teams and drivers a demanding and diverse season, while bringing the category to new audiences and strengthening its position as a global platform for the next generation of Formula 1 talent.”

Formula 3
The 2027 F3 season will feature 10 rounds and three new race weekends in Jeddah, Montreal and Istanbul.
F3, which did not get a chance to race alongside F2 at Montreal this past season, will now join F1 and F2 in Canada to host their first weekend at the Circuit Gilles-Villeneuve. This weekend will be the series first time racing in North America.
They'll also go to Jeddah for the first time, where F2 has been racing since 2021. And finally, their last new stop will be in Istanbul, where F2 and F3 will be debuting there together.
The season will begin in March with a double-header in Bahrain and Saudi Arabia, before heading to Melbourne where the series traditionally begins their championship. The new addition of Montreal heads trips to Monaco, Silverstone, Austria and more before the conclusion of the series in Istanbul. Like in 2026 when the championship ended at the Madring, in 2027 the series will also be ending at a brand-new track for the grid.
“Formula 3 is where many drivers begin to prove themselves on the international stage," said FIA President Mohammed Ben Sulaymen. "And the 2027 calendar will give them an exceptional range of challenges where they can develop their skills. Racing in North America for the first time is an important milestone for the Championship, while the additions of Jeddah and Istanbul will test our drivers across demanding circuits.
“Providing young talent with these experiences is fundamental to building the future of our
sport, and I look forward to watching this next generation rise to the challenge throughout the
2027 season.”
