Trident’s Laurens van Hoepen took his third Formula 2 podium in the Hungarian sprint race, fending off Invicta’s Rafa Câmara towards the end. It was a third F2 podium for the Dutchman, and the first since he last appeared on a podium in the Miami sprint race in May.

“Do it when you’re sure to do it.” This was the key radio message relayed to MP Motorsport’s Gabriele Minì on Lap 9 of the Formula 2 sprint race at Hungary. The all-important command that gave the Italian driver leverage to go for the move, but to do it clinically. Campos racer Noel León has been disqualified from the Formula 2 Feature Race at the Circuit de Spa-Francorchamps, with the Spanish team also reprimanded over the course of the weekend, due to a major infraction during the red flag period.

Campos' Ernesto Rivera took a second race victory in Formula 3, and his first Feature Race win, after executing a series of calculated overtakes over the course of F3's 15-lap race at Spa. He would finish ahead of VAR's Hiyu Yamakoshi and pole-sitter Freddie Slater in third.

When Rodin Motorsport’s Martinius Stenshorne and DAMS’ Dino Beganovic crossed the line in the Formula 2 sprint at Spa-Francorchamps on Saturday, it sparked elation and relief in equal measure for both drivers and their teams. It wasn’t just a return to the podium, but vindication that both drivers had still maintained their strong run of pace from early in the season.

Campos racer Noel León has lost his quickest lap time from Formula 2's qualifying in Spa on Friday, after the stewards revealed he was the sole cause of a red flag during the 30-minute session. This decision sees the Mexican driver lose his fastest lap time of the session, demoting him to the rear of the grid for the pair of races.

“I think it’s something we deserve,” DAMS’ Roman Bilinski remarked. The Polish driver had just scored his maiden Formula 2 podium, more so a fabled appearance around the streets of Monaco. This result kicked off a scoring spree, with Bilinski going on to score points in six of the next seven races of the 2026 F2 season.
