Pedro Clerot renews with Rodin Motorsport for 2027 F3 season
Rodin Motorsport have announced their first driver signing for the 2027 Formula 3 season, with Pedro Clerot staying on at the team for the upcoming year of racing. The Brazilian showcased flashes of brilliance, scoring one victory on his way to sixth in the standings.
Clerot scored a total of five podiums over the course of the season, and delivered some strong qualifying performances in his maiden F3 campaign. The Rodin driver looked quick all through qualifying in the finale at Madrid, nearly snatching both pole positions for the Feature Races.
He also showcased overtaking prowess early in the season, a last-lap move on PREMA's James Wharton around the outside of Turn 6 sealing second in the sprint at Austria.
With the flashes of potential underneath, Clerot is delighted to stay on with Rodin for a second successive campaign, looking to build on his year of experience and go for a shot at the title in 2027.
“I’m very happy to be staying with Rodin for my second year in FIA F3,” Clerot mentioned, speaking on the news.
“We’ve built a really strong relationship this season and achieved some great results, improving race after race. I’ve felt at home with the team since day one, so continuing this journey together is very special."
The Brazilian driver proved to be the highest scoring of all Rodin Motorsport drivers over the course of the season, outscoring Brando Badoer by 17 points and outpacing Christian Ho and Niccolò Maccagnani all through the season.
It is no surprise why team manager Benn Huntingford is delighted to have him back at Rodin Motorsport for the coming year.
“We’re delighted to continue our relationship with Pedro for another season in FIA Formula 3. He’s really impressed the team this year, showing strong pace and making great progress throughout the season," Huntingford expressed, speaking highly of his driver.
He believed the victory in Madrid proved an apt ending to the growth Clerot had made over the course of the season.
"To see him take his maiden win in Madrid was a fantastic way to end the year and a result that reflects the progress he’s made. We’re looking forward to building on that next season and seeing what we can achieve together.”
Clerot is no stranger towards success in the junior categories; the Brazilian driver won the 2022 Brazilian F4 season, before moving to Europe and finishing sixth in Spanish F4 in 2023.
He then completed two campaigns in the Formula Regional European Championship (FRECA), finishing eighth in 2024. Staying on with Van Amersfoort Racing for a second season, Clerot consolidated his strong first season by improving to fourth in the standings.
His F3 career has followed a similar trajectory, and it's only fair to imagine he will be one of the drivers to watch out for in the coming season.
Clerot also becomes the second driver to be confirmed for the 2027 F3 season, after Kean Nakamura-Berta was announced at Trident for the coming year, stepping up from FREC to race in the championship.
