A total of 161 cars will take on the Nürburgring Nordschlife next month for the 2026 edition of the Nürburgring 24 Hours.

Race one of the NLS 24h Qualifiers has been ''suspended until further notice'' by the race officials due to a horrific seven car pile-up early on.

The 24h Qualifiers are the fourth and fifth rounds of the Nürburgring Langstrecken-Serie (NLS), the first double header of the year. This time the 24h layout will be used, so the AMG Arena will be skipped and cars will take a hard left immediately turn one, then complete the remainder of the Grand Prix circuit rather than use the usual Sprintstrecke version.

Marco Wittmann is leading the third round of the Nürburgring Langstrecken-Serie (NLS) at the two hour mark, having pit early with the No.77 Schubert Motorsport BMW to offset their strategy.

Pittard's No.47 KCMG Mercedes stayed fastest, the Japanese driver will share the pole sitting car with Jesse Krohn, Edoardo Liberati and Kamui Kobayashi. The No.77 Schubert motorsport BMW of Marco Wittmann, Phillip Eng and Robin Frijns will take the second spot on the front row, from the No.33 KKrämer Racing Audi.

The 57th running of the Adenauer ADAC Rundstrecken-Trophy will take place this weekend with 139 cars split across 23 different classes. The class with the most attention is SP9, where regulated GT3 cars race with some of sportscar's finest drivers. The class is split into Pro, Pro-Am and Am depending on the driver's ratings.

Although he was not planning on it, the cancellation of the Bahrain and Saudi Arabian Grands Prix has allowed Verstappen to race in the two Nürburgring 24h Qualifying events on the 18th and 19th April with Lucas Auer.

The No.3 Winward Verstappen.com Mercedes driven by Max Verstappen, Daniel Juncadella and Jules Gounon has dominated NLS 3, finishing over a minute ahead of the No.99 ROWE BMW and the No.44 Falken Porsche in second and third.

Max Verstappen will race at the Nürburgring this weekend.

The opening round of the NLS takes place this Saturday.

The No.911 will be piloted by two of its regulars: Kévin Estre and Ayhancan Güven. Neither driver needs any introduction, Estre has won the Nürburgring 24h once in the past, and nearly repeated it with Güven last year, but a penalty was added to their finishing time which dropped the car to second.

With Verstappen, Winward's No.3 Mercedes-AMG GT3 will be driven by three Mercedes factory drivers: Dani Juncadella, Jules Gounon and Lucas Auer. None of the driver's have won the 24 hour race in the past, but each have conducted respectable careers in sports car racing, especially in GT3s.

Falken Motorsport will be fielding a single Porsche 911 GT3 R for the Nürburgring Langstrecken-Serie (NLS) and Nürburgring 24h, with the number 44. Aligning with Falkens focus on "continuity and experience", 34 year old Klaus Bachler will once again get behind the wheel of the No.44, having won the only NLS race he entered last year.

Rauh Racing are breaking boundaries in motorsport with their Renault Twingo, targeting races like the Nürburgring 24h, the team are proving there is no limit to passion.

The 10th and final race of the 2025 Nürburgring Langstrecken-Serie got underway today at noon local time (10am GMT) with the No.9 Haupt Racing Team (HRT) Ford Mustang leading a Ford front row lockout on the grid.
