IndyCar star Colton Herta will make a dramatic swap from IndyCar to Formula 2 colours in 2026. The Californian will be racing for Hitech TGR's F2 outfit, spearheading the British team's charge in the upcoming season.

Formula 3 announced today that they will be giving a €1 million prize fund to the top five drivers from F3 who will compete in Formula 2 the following year from the 2025 season onwards. 

DAMS’ Jak Crawford likened his Formula 2 pole in Baku to the breakthrough he achieved earlier in the year, when the American secured pole position in Jeddah after going three races without scoring points.

The F2 grid returned to racing action at Monza, but it was status quo at the head of the field, as championship leader Leonardo Fornaroli took his fourth race win of 2025, holding off the charging Campos of Arvid Lindblad in a fight to the final lap on home soil.

After taking his maiden Formula 2 pole in a stop-start qualifying session in Monza, Hitech TGR racer Luke Browning believed he hadn’t quite extracted the maximum pace from his car during the 30-minute session that featured three red flag stoppages. 

Nothing could have prepared Van Amersfoort Racing’s John Bennett for the next step in his racing career. When his compatriots on the 2025 Formula 2 grid were all taking part in Monza’s Formula 3 or Formula 2 weekends, Bennett found himself spending his weekend in a soaking wet GB3 race at Donington Park. 

Formula 3 will head into the sunset as the season comes to a close at Monza, but the championship battle for Formula 2 only continues at the highest intensity, with five in contention as the series returns from the summer break, with four weekends to go. Campos racer Pepe Martí said he “wasn’t really worried” as he cruised to his third sprint win of 2025 in F2’s Hungarian sprint, which got hectic towards the end as the top two squabbled over track position in the final sector on the last lap.

Championship leader Leonardo Fornaroli attempted a different strategy to the rest of the grid, one that eventually fetched him second on the road in Friday’s qualifying. It was a result the Italian racer was “super happy” about, as he spoke of working with teammate Staněk over the weekend. 

Roman Staněk took his maiden pole position in F2 on Friday's 30-minute qualifying session in Hungary, ahead of teammate Leonardo Fornaroli. While he topped most of the running, the Czech racer certainly wasn't expecting to be at the head of the pack after 30 minutes of flying laps.

Invicta Racing continued their wave of momentum in the European stage of the Formula 2 calendar, with Roman Staněk backing up his Feature Race win in Belgium with a maiden pole position in F2 in Hungary, as the team in yellow locked out the front row of the grid.

The Feeder Series paddock will go again for one last time around the Hungaroring before hitting their annual summer break. ART Grand Prix racer Ritomo Miyata scored his maiden Formula 2 podium in a soaking wet Feature Race at Spa-Francorchamps, promoted up to second after infringements from those ahead cost them vital points and positions. The Japanese driver is finally starting to find his groove in F2, having raced in the series for almost a season and a half.
