Campos’ Nikola Tsolov has scored five Formula 2 wins in 2026. Yet, even he would have been quite surprised at how the sprint in Silverstone played into his hands. “I didn't expect it for that to happen. I would be just happy with a P2 at that point,” he remarked, largely satisfied with what he had done over the course of the sprint.

An excellent lap in qualifying by Invicta's Rafa Câmara saw him take a third Formula 2 pole position for the Silverstone weekend. Nikola Tsolov took his fourth Formula 2 win of the season in the Feature Race at Austria, beating out championship leader Gabriele Minì and Oliver Goethe.

“I'm really just trying to enjoy every second of this.” Barely a half-hour since Trident's John Bennett climbed out of his car in Austria, he had still not been able to process or soak in his emotions. A race-long duel with PREMA’s Sebastián Montoya in Formula 2's Austria sprint had finally fallen in his favour on the final lap.

“On my side, I was always trying to go for pole,” Campos racer Noel León responded. León had just taken a stellar maiden pole position in Austria, pulling off a strategy few would look to pursue in Formula 2 qualifying.

After finishing second in Formula 2's Feature Race at Circuit de Barcelona-Catalunya, Campos Racing's Nikola Tsolov was handed a penalty that dropped him off the podium.

“You guys have revived me. I feel like myself again.” Those were the words of ART’s Kush Maini, who crossed the line after a dominant 7.2-second gap to the rest of the field to take his first F2 victory of the 2026 season in Barcelona. The Indian driver never looked back after a rocket start saw him eclipse Noel León off the front row of the grid for the lead.

Invicta Racing's Joshua Dürksen and Hitech's Ritomo Miyata have received penalties for their infringements during F2's qualifying session in Barcelona on Friday. The Paraguayan driver was picked up after speeding under yellow flags, a result of Miyata's incident at the final corner only moments earlier. The Hitech man endured a torrid spin as he entered the corner, veering into the gravel and bringing the session to a halt.
