Vasser Sullivan Racing Lexus overcame their difficult qualifying session in Daytona to take double top 10 finishes in the GTD and GTD Pro classes.

As it stands, the race is under an extended full course yellow period (FCY) for foggy conditions. The No.7 Porsche had led a lot of the race, its main competitors being the No.31 Cadillac and the No.93 Acura.

It's set to be an absolute thriller, with 60 cars lined up ready to take on the banking's of the Daytona International Speedway. Names such as Kevin Magnussen, Álex Palou, Jack Aitken, Connor Zilisch, Colton Herta, Scott Dixon and many many more will all be looking to head home with a brand new Rolex, and a Daytona 24 Hours victory to their name.

The 2026 Sportscar racing season kicks off this weekend with its flagship event, the 24 Hours of Daytona. A total of 60 cars (11 GTP's, 13 LMP2's, 15 GTD Pro's and 21 GTD's) are set to fill the banking's of the Daytona International Speedway with the roar of engines, with the green flag waving at 1:40pm EST (6:40pm GMT) on Saturday.
