LIVE: 2026 Petit Le Mans
It's time for the final round of the 2026 IMSA Sportscar Championship season. All four of IMSA's classes head to Road Atlanta for the traditional series finale, Petit Le Mans. 10 hours of racing on a 2.5 mile (4 km) track, with traffic and a day/night transition and championships on the line, it is sure to be a thriller.
In GTP it's an all-Acura front-row in their final race in IMSA, the No.60 edging out the sister No.93 on the grid. Championship honours look set to go the way of Jack Aitken though, all he needs to do is start the race in the No.31 Action Express Cadillac and he will be champion.
In LMP2, it's not so easy to decide. PJ Hyett gave the No.99 AO Racing car pole position yesterday. They're third in the standings, 105 points off the top. The main battle is between the No.43 Inter Europol Competition car and the No.04 Crowdstrike car, separated by only 10 points. Any of those three could come out with the title, and an invitation to Le Mans.
In GTD Pro the No.1 Paul Miller BMW will start on pole, looking to close a 42 point gap to the No.4 Pratt Miller Corvette who lead the championship, and will start in third place. The two are split on the grid by the No.068 Car Blanche Aston Martin.
In GTD, the No.57 Winward Racing Mercedes crew are trying to three-peat this weekend, and they are in the best position to do so. They have a 15 point lead in the standings after qualifying over the No.96 Turner Motorsport BMW.
