The Formula E grid took to its annual Berlin jaunt for the penultimate weekend of 2025. A new champion was crowned, but several drivers and teams experienced their ups and downs in the vicinity of the Berlin Tempelhof airport. Nick Cassidy made it a Jaguar double in Berlin, following on teammate Mitch Evans' victory on Saturday to climb up the order from 21st on the grid to win the Berlin E-Prix. Meanwhile, the championship battle was put to bed even before the Berlin weekend came to an end.

Mitch Evans returns to the top step of the podium after over six months of waiting following a chaotic Berlin E-Prix, while championship leader Rowland was unable to score points.

Formula E returned to familiar territory today as the championship headed to Berlin for Races 13 and 14 of the 2025 season. The German capital remains the only city to have hosted a race in every season of Formula E. 

Formula E heads to a staple on its calendar, to the familiar sights of an old World War II airport. In the backdrop of an ancient piece of history, and a decommissioned aircraft skirting the circuit, lies a potential championship decider. 

A Formula 3 champion will be testing alongside a renowned female racer, in what is set to be a barnstorming line-up down at Jaguar, rounding out the roster for the upcoming Berlin Formula E rookie test on Monday, 14 July, 2025.

Maserati and Lola ABT Yamaha announced their full driver line-ups for Formula E's Berlin rookie test, with an F3 driver, a Maserati regular, and a former Ferrari junior returning to the series, six years since his last test.

With Nyck de Vries unavailable, Mahindra Racing have signed an F1 reserve driver for the Berlin E-Prix.

Two further announcements headlined the Formula E newsrooms on Wednesday, as the grid for the Berlin rookie test edges ever closer to being full-house.

Formula E is all set to conduct its second in-season rookie test in Berlin, taking place on Monday, July 14th, a day after the penultimate weekend of Season 11, the Berlin E-Prix double header comes to a close.
