Felipe Drugovich will make his Formula E race debut at the upcoming Berlin E-Prix (12th-13th July) for Mahindra Racing. The Brazilian will substitute for regular driver Nyck de Vries, who will be competing in the World Endurance Championship's 6 hours of São Paulo instead.
Berlin will not be Drugovich's first time behind the wheel of a Formula E car as he has taken part in three rookie tests before for Maserati MSG Racing. He topped both the Berlin rookie test and Rome rookie practice in season nine and was classified 4th in the season 10 edition of the Berlin test.
Mahindra Racing have had a strong season so far and currently sit 5th in the championship standings with two podiums. The addition of a strong driver like Drugovich, who is an FIA Formula 2 champion, to their lineup for the E-Prix will surely help them continue their upward trajectory and not hinder their momentum.
Speaking about the announcement, Drugovich said: "Formula E is a championship I’ve been around for a while now; having tested on several occasions, I’m excited to now get the opportunity to race."

This announcement comes shortly after Mahindra revealed a strong lineup for the rookie test, which will take place on the Monday after the E-Prix. The team's reserve driver Kush Maini will continue to build on his relationship with the team by returning for the test, while alongside him will be the talented Dino Beganovic.
Of the six drivers that currently compete in both Formula E and WEC only de Vries and Norman Nato are prioritising São Paulo and will take their usual places in the no. 7 Toyota and the no. 12 Cadillac cars. Sérgio Sette Câmara will take Nato's place at Nissan for the Berlin weekend.
This clash is set to be the last between the two championships for a while, with the provisional 2026 calendars for both having no races scheduled on the same weekend as each other.
