Campos racer Pepe Martí said he “wasn’t really worried” as he cruised to his third sprint win of 2025 in F2’s Hungarian sprint, which got hectic towards the end as the top two squabbled over track position in the final sector on the last lap. 

Arvid Lindblad and Luke Browning have received two separate five-second time penalties for their respective incidents, demoting them outside the points-scoring positions and shaking up the championship picture during F2's Hungarian weekend.

Campos racer Pepe Martí led the field to victory from reverse grid pole, fending off a late attempt from Rodin Motorsport's Alex Dunne on the final lap, in what turned out to be an exciting finish, with both drivers duelling it out in the final sector on the last lap to take victory.

Invicta Racing's Leonardo Fornaroli took his second consecutive F2 sprint win in 2025, converting third at the start to the race lead on Lap 1, before using his tyres to the full extent until the end of the race to take race victory.

Pepe Martí kept it clean and took a special victory at the Red Bull Ring for Campos, ahead of AIX Racing's Joshua Dürksen, who returned to the podium for the first time since Australia, in a race of attrition which saw only 12 racers make the flag.

The script writers may not have predicted this. Many wouldn't have believed if you mentioned Richard Verschoor, starting sixth on the road, as a victory favourite. But such is F2, you can never predict anything to be certain until the chequered flag drops.

The Formula 3 Sprint Race in Monaco got underway on Saturday at 10:45 CEST (8:45 GMT), with Martinius Stenshorne of Hitech TGR claiming his first victory of the 2025 season. He was followed by Tuukka Taponen in second and his ART Grand Prix teammate Laurens Van Hoepen securing the final podium spot in third.
