Welcome to Miami International Autodrome where the second sprint race of the 2025 season takes place. Lights go out at 12.00 track time for a 19-lap race. Kimi Antonelli is on pole for the first time in his F1 career.

Update: Several drivers were investigated after the race for various reasons, and their penalties are as follows:
Oliver Bearman was given a five-second penalty for unsafe release
Liam Lawson was handed a five-second penalty for the collision with Alonso
Alex Albon was given a five-second penalty for safety car infringement
18:08: Qualifying will start in three hours (16:00 track time), join us then.
18:06: Now there are worries ahead of qualifying: will Alonso, Sainz, and Leclerc be able to take part?
18:05: Verstappen's penalty means he finishes 17th and out of the points.
18:05: Lando Norris wins the Miami sprint under the safety car. He leads ahead of teammate Piastri and Lewis Hamilton.
18:02: Lap 17/18 and the safety car is still in; the race will probably end behind it.
17:59: On a replay we see contact between Alonso and Lawson was what led to the Aston Martin crash. The two drivers are under investigation.
17:58: Max Verstappen handed a 10-second penalty.
17:57: On a replay we see Carlos Sainz making contact with the wall.
17:55: Double yellows once again: Fernando Alonso has crashed which brings out the full safety car. Norris pits under the safety car and still leads.
17:55: Race Control have noted Verstappen's unsafe release and it is under investigation.
17:53: Oscar Piastri told to pit ahead of Lando Norris who is now the new race leader.
17:52: Red Bull perform an unsafe release with Verstappen who crashes with Antonelli in the pitlane.
17:52: Double yellow flags have been waved but they are immediately cleared.
17:50: More drivers have now been told to pit, including Lewis Hamilton and Carlos Sainz.
17:49: Yuki Tsunoda is the first driver to pit; he is now on medium tyres.
17:49: DRS enabled.
17:45: Drivers such as Liam Lawson and Max Verstappen have both complained about visibility issues (through their visors).
17:42: The stewards have said there will be no further investigation in the case of Verstappen.
17:41: Max Verstappen has been noted by Race Control for being out of position (false start).
17:41: No further investigation for the incident between Piastri and Antonelli.
17:40: Race control have noted the incident between Piastri and Antonelli.
17:38: Piastri says the track is drying up quickly. Will any driver take a gamble and make a pit stop?
17:37: Four laps in and Oscar Piastri leads from his teammate by over one second.
17:35: Oscar Piastri gets a better start and overtakes Antonelli who goes off track. The Italian is now down in fourth.
17:35: And lights are out!
17:34: All cars are lining up on the grid for the new sprint race start.
17:32: News has come out that it will be a standing start.
17:29: It is expected that there will be two laps behind the safety car.
17:28: All cars are now making their way to the track behind the safety car.
17:17: The sprint race will start at 12:28 local time (17:28 BST)
17:05: The red flag is out and the sprint will be delayed.
17:03: The drivers are driving behind the safety car. They are one lap in.
17:01: All drivers but Carlos Sainz are on intermediate tyres. The Spaniard is on full wet tyres.
17:01: And the drivers are off on their formation lap!
16:33: Scuderia Ferrari HP have put out a statement saying that Charles Leclerc will not be taking part in the Sprint race after crashing in the wet weather.
