Campos racer Pepe Martí said he “wasn’t really worried” as he cruised to his third sprint win of 2025 in F2’s Hungarian sprint, which got hectic towards the end as the top two squabbled over track position in the final sector on the last lap. 

With just three races left in the F3 season, the Feature Race in Hungary and then the final round in Monza, here’s how the championship could be wrapped up this weekend.

Arvid Lindblad and Luke Browning have received two separate five-second time penalties for their respective incidents, demoting them outside the points-scoring positions and shaking up the championship picture during F2's Hungarian weekend.

Campos racer Pepe Martí led the field to victory from reverse grid pole, fending off a late attempt from Rodin Motorsport's Alex Dunne on the final lap, in what turned out to be an exciting finish, with both drivers duelling it out in the final sector on the last lap to take victory.

Championship leader Leonardo Fornaroli attempted a different strategy to the rest of the grid, one that eventually fetched him second on the road in Friday’s qualifying. It was a result the Italian racer was “super happy” about, as he spoke of working with teammate Staněk over the weekend. 

Roman Staněk took his maiden pole position in F2 on Friday's 30-minute qualifying session in Hungary, ahead of teammate Leonardo Fornaroli. While he topped most of the running, the Czech racer certainly wasn't expecting to be at the head of the pack after 30 minutes of flying laps.

Invicta Racing continued their wave of momentum in the European stage of the Formula 2 calendar, with Roman Staněk backing up his Feature Race win in Belgium with a maiden pole position in F2 in Hungary, as the team in yellow locked out the front row of the grid.
