An exciting Monaco E-Prix weekend made for plenty of on-track action, with several drivers having weekends to forget amidst a sea of firsts. While the championship picture has changed significantly after two races in the Principality, DIVEBOMB looks into the drivers who gained the most and lost out big time on the streets of Monaco.

Formula E’s Monaco E-Prix delivered two new winners for Season 12, strengthening the championship battle as the season crossed its halfway point. With plenty to remember from Formula E’s latest race weekend, DIVEBOMB looks back at some of the biggest stats from the two days of racing in Monaco.

The grid of 20 Gen3 Evo cars provided non-stop action across the narrow harbour-front streets. Following an unforgettable weekend along the French Riviera, here are five major takeaways from the Monaco E-Prix.

Formula E’s Monaco E-Prix double-header witnessed an astounding 382 overtakes during the weekend, with Nyck de Vries and Oliver Rowland taking their first victories of Season 12 on the streets of the principality. However, the all-electric championship’s annual visit to the principality also brought about plenty of chaos, with several drivers left miffed after having their races ruined.

Nissan's Oliver Rowland took his second victory around the streets of Monaco, and his first of Season 12, as he delivered a knockout blow in his quest to claim a second Formula E title. The Briton, who had started eighth on the road, managed to make up valuable ground using his six-minute attack mode activation late in the race, claiming the race lead from Mahindra's Edoardo Mortara, and remaining untroubled.

For the second race in a row, Dan Ticktum has secured pole position. The Briton beat António Félix da Costa to secure the top spot for the second race of the Formula E Monaco double header.

Ahead of Round 9 Dan Ticktum claimed his maiden pole position of Season 12, beating Nyck de Vries in the final. But it was the Mahindra driver who was dominant in Monaco, winning his first victory since Season 8.

Cupra Kiro's Dan Ticktum took his first pole position of Season 12 in yet another enthralling Formula E qualifying session around the streets of Monaco. Despite making contact with the wall multiple times on his duels laps, Ticktum held on from Mahindra's Nyck de Vries, who couldn't convert free practice pace into pole, and netted his second front row start of the season.

During the Berlin E-Prix, Lola Yamaha ABT’s Zane Maloney seemed to find an almost perfect formula. The Barbadian driver set a career-best qualifying position of seventh on Saturday and then proceeded to best it with a sixth place on Sunday. Whilst the results are not reflective of Maloney’s driver, with him failing to score points in either race, the 22-year-old led the race and was able to fight at the front. The Monaco E-Prix is arguably the crown jewel of the Formula E calendar, bringing high-voltage racing action from the future to the historic, sun-drenched streets of the Principality.

Formula E’s annual weekend alongside the French Riviera is set to be another thriller, as one of the closest grids in history will take to the 3.337 km (2.07 mi) long circuit for one of motorsport’s most coveted silverware.
