Formula E’s debut at the Miami Hard Rock Stadium certainly got off to a memorable start. While many were unsure what to expect, the new track quickly made its mark. While Sunshine City clearly wasn’t all sunshine throughout the weekend, it brought the heat in what can only be thought of as yet another exciting, confusing, albeit memorable race in the all-electric championship.

Formula E's newest United States venue, the Miami International Autodrome, looked set to deliver on a race full of drama. A wet race in the sunshine state made for an action-packed E-Prix with thrilling battles that kept viewers wanting to know which driver would come out on top.

Formula E and the United States have a lengthy and confusing past, with 17 E-Prix across the country, and a race in all but one season so far. The stage is set for a new American venue in 2026, as Formula E will visit a sixth new host circuit, the Miami International Autodrome.

Formula E heads into its final American jaunt with a spring in its step. After an entertaining weekend in Mexico City, there’s plenty to look forward to in the championship’s annual stateside visit, with a familiar venue in focus this time. 

Nissan Formula E have announced that they will be running two drivers for the Miami FP0 session, becoming the only team to do so. They will be represented by their rookie and simulator driver, Abbi Pulling, as well as Formula Two driver Gabriele Minì.

British racing driver Zak O'Sullivan has been named as Envision Racing's entry ahead of the Miami Rookie Free Practice session. O'Sullivan currently serves as the team's Simulator Driver.

Lola Yamaha ABT have announced that Australian-Japanese talent Hugh Barter will be joining them for the upcoming FP0 at the Miami E-Prix. This session will be Barter's third outing in Formula E machinery, with him having tested at the Berlin Rookie Test in 2023 and 2025.

Andretti have named Dennis Hauger for the Miami E-Prix Rookie Free Practice, giving the Norwegian his second outing in Formula E machinery.

Cupra Kiro Formula E have announced that their rookie driver, Pepe Martí, will be partaking in the Miami FP0 session. This choice will allow for the young Spaniard to gain invaluable experience following missed practice sessions in São Paulo and Mexico City.

As Formula E embarks on its next month-long break, questions still remain over the possibility of further calendar expansion for 2026.
