Andretti has announced its driver selection for the Miami Rookie Free Practice session ahead of the Miami E-Prix, with Norwegian driver Dennis Hauger set to take part. This marks a positive step forward in Hauger’s growing relationship with the team following his 2025 INDY NXT Championship success with the American outfit.
This will mark Hauger's second outing in a GEN3 Evo machinery after taking part in the 2024 Berlin Rookie Test with Porsche, and his first official appearance with Andretti's Formula E division.

Looking back at his first Formula E outing and his expectations ahead of Miami, Hauger said:
“The 2024 Berlin Test was my first experience in a Formula E car, and it was a really positive surprise. The car felt responsive, and the instant torque and power definitely took me by surprise, but in a good way. There’s a lot of technology and software to understand compared to what I’m used to in other series, but I really enjoyed the challenge and learning process. Looking ahead to Miami, I’m intrigued to see how much the car has evolved with the new GEN3 Evo package. From everything I’ve seen and heard, it’s a step up in performance and efficiency, so I can’t wait to get behind the wheel and experience it firsthand.”
The 22-year-old is set to begin his rookie season in the NTT INDYCAR Series with Dale Coyne Racing after clinching the 2025 INDY NXT title with Andretti, making the Miami appearance a significant moment for the team on home soil.
Hauger has enjoyed a highly successful junior career, having been crowned FIA Formula 3 Champion in 2021 before going on to secure four race victories in FIA Formula 2, including a win at Monaco, and now a promotion to INDYCAR for 2026.
Reflecting on how his experience in American open-wheel racing has prepared him for Formula E, Hauger said:
"Competing in INDY NXT and now stepping up to INDYCAR has taught me a lot about consistency, car setup and working closely with engineers to maximize performance. My first impressions of Andretti, having worked with them both in INDY NXT and now Formula E, have been outstanding. The level of professionalism and attention to detail is incredible. Being familiar with the team and how they operate is a good advantage. I think it will help us get up to speed quickly in Miami while also translating what I’ve learned from American open-wheel racing into the world of Formula E."
Hauger’s participation in Free Practice 0 provides Andretti with valuable additional track time and technical feedback ahead of the Miami E-Prix, while allowing the driver to continue his development across different single-seater categories.
