DS Penske development driver Nikita Bedrin will be returning to his role with DS Penske for the Formula E’s customary Rookie Free Practice session, during the Miami E-Prix weekend.

Bedrin, who competes under the Italian flag, last raced in the Formula Regional European Championship (FRECA) in 2025, in which he claimed two podiums. In 2025, the Russian driver also competed in the first two Formula 3 rounds with AIX Racing, scoring points in both Australian races.
Bedrin first joined DS Penske in June 2025, trialling Formula E machinery at the Berlin Rookie test as well as joining the DS Penske Driver Development Programme.

In 2026, Bedrin will continue his Formula E role, alongside a GB3 Championship campaign for VRD Racing.
The 40-minute free practice session, meant exclusively for the rookies, will give the young drivers a chance to test Formula E machinery on a race weekend, with sufficient exposure to the workings of a regular weekend in the championship. It is officially known as Free Practice 0 (FP0), forming an official part of the race weekend itself.
Bedrin is the second driver to be announced for the upcoming rookie test at Miami, and do keep an eye out, as several young drivers will form a part of the roster for this test session ahead of the Miami E-Prix weekend!
Free Practice 0 (Miami): The roster (so far)
Porsche: Ayhancan Güven
DS Penske: Nikita Bedrin
