Alpha Tauri has now become the second team to reveal their 2021 season contender, the AT02.

Due to the only mild change in regulations for this year, the car looks, and most probably drives, very similar to the race-winning AT01. The newest iteration does not feature much of a difference, other than new white rims and a new livery, the new hue of navy blue also extends to the front wing portion of the car.
It was also the first time we have seen Alpha Tauri’s refreshed driver line-up of Pierre Gasly and the rookie Japanese driver, Yuki Tsunoda. Fans were delighted to see Pierre re-sign for the team for this year, but in stark contrast to the dropping of Russian driver, Daniil Kvyat. Tsunoda seems to be a popular choice though, having made it to F1 following only one rather successful season in Formula 2 under his belt, finishing third in the feeder championship. Alpha Tauri has been working the young man hard though, giving him plenty of time in a 2019 car to help him start his F1 career on the right foot.
This will be the last year Alpha Tauri will be running with their Honda badged engines. With Honda leaving at the end of this season, they will be running ‘Red Bull’ engines from the 2022 season.
Can the AT02 bring the team as much success as its predecessor, or will they continue to only have the odd foray to the front half of the midfield again?
