Dan Ticktum wins dramatic Tokyo E-Prix

Jake Dennis started from pole and looked set to win before a dramatic last lap saw the Cupra Kiro of Dan Ticktum cross the line in first. Mitch Evans also reclaims the lead of the Championship following an incident-ridden race for Pascal Wehrlein
As it happened- Round 14 in Tokyo
On Lap 1, Dennis was immediately on the pace and maintained his lead. Behind him, the DS Penske of Taylor Barnard was fighting through the field. Zane Maloney's grid penalty was converted into a 10-second stop and go penalty as it was unable to be served.
Elsewhere in the field, Nico Müller sustained damage after hitting António Félix da Costa with the latter hitting the wall.
On Lap 2, both Nyck de Vries and Müller pulled into the pit lane as a yellow flag was thrown in Turn 17. At the same time, both Dennis and Edoardo Mortara were pulling away from the rest of the pack. Sébastien Buemi was handed a 5-second penalty for causing a collision with de Vries.
Lap 10 saw Norman Nato handed a 10-second penalty for hitting Wehrlein. During the flurry of penalties, da Costa and Barnard began to battle. Buemi and Mortara also began to battle on Lap 16.
Lap 17 saw the rain begin but it did not majorly affect the race. On Lap 19 the Pit Boost window opened and Pascal Wehrlein was battling with da Costa before the latter ended up in the wall.
Due to the damage he had sustained, Wehrlein retired on Lap 22 but emerged back onto the track just a few laps later. Buemi took the lead of the race on the same lap as Dennis took his Pit Boost.
Lap 25 and 26 saw Rowland and Ticktum each take the lead as Mortara dropped further back and battled the Citroën of Nick Cassidy. On Lap 29, Dennis reclaimed the lead as Wehrlein was handed a 10-second penalty for causing a collision.
Lap 31 saw a battle for Mitch Evans and Mortara.
On the last lap, a thrilling three-way battle for the lead between Ticktum, Dennis and Cassidy ensued with the Cupra Kiro driver successfully claiming first place and earning his second Formula E win.
