Elia Weiss and Ayhancan Güven to drive for Porsche in Madrid Rookie Test

Today (2nd March) Porsche Formula E team have announced that they will field Elia Weiss and Ayhancan Güven for the Rookie Test at the newest Formula E venue, Circuito de Madrid Jarama on Sunday 22 March.

Previously, both drivers have tested Porsche's Formula E machinery at the Berlin Rookie Test in 2025.
Ayhancan Güven is the reigning DTM champion and this will be his third time driving the GEN3 Evo. Earlier this season, he participated in the Miami Rookie FP0, where he set the eighth fastest time in an immensely talented field. During the 2025 Berlin Rookie Test, in which he proved himself as a very competitive driver.

Elia Weiss, a 16-year-old German racing driver, also competed in the 2025 Berlin Rookie Test and became the youngest ever driver to test a Formula E car at just three weeks after celebrating his 16th birthday. Most recently, Weiss competed in the UAE4 Championship, where he finished 16th in the standings.
Güven and Weiss are the first two drivers to be announced for the Madrid Rookie Test.
