Vasseur’s second PCR test came back negative, but as a precaution, will continue to self-isolate at home. Alfa Romeo Racing has said that Vasseur has not been displaying symptoms and appears to be in good shape. But due to the ever-changing nature of the virus and according to the guidelines set by the FIA, Vasseur will self-isolate for the safety of the team and other personnel in the paddock.
The team has said that Vasseur will remain connected to the garage and will perform his duties from home.
Vasseur is the latest member of the F1 personnel to have tested positive, following Sergio Perez, Lance Stroll, Pierre Gasly, Charles Leclerc, Lewis Hamilton and, fellow principal, Toto Wolff.
Both Kimi Raikkonen and Antonio Giovinazzi will be in Bahrain for pre-season testing.
