The ACO (L’Automobile Club de l’Ouest) have the revealed the official Balance of Performance (BoP) for this years WEC (World Endurance Championship) flagship event at the 24 Hours of Le Mans.
It is important to note that Le Mans has a separate BoP to the rest of the season, due to the unusual nature of the track.

The brand new to Le Mans, Aston Martin Valkyrie has been given a class minimum weight of 1030 kg and a class maximum power of 520kW. The British marque will be hoping that this will make a difference after their slow start to the season.
In LMGT3, all of the cars that raced last year will run at a lower minimum weight. In terms of power only the Ford, Corvette and Lexus will gain an extra bit of speed on the straights, with every other brand losing a small amount of power.
The new to WEC Mercedes AMG LMGT3 will be the heaviest car in the class at 1360 kg, with the Ferrari 296 having the least power.
