MotoGP 2027 line-up update: Pramac Yamaha MotoGP team

The Yamaha side has now completed its rider lineup for the 2027 season following Pramac’s announcement, as we head into the Aragon race weekend.

Jack Miller leaves Pramac

Toprak Razgatlıoğlu’s fate was already decided, as he was brought into the team in preparation for the 2027 season. 

As for Jack Miller, who has been in the series since 2015, when he first raced with LCR Honda, it has now been announced that he will leave the Pramac team at the end of this season.

Miller, apart from his contributions to MotoGP, has also represented Yamaha in the 8 Hours of Suzuka. The five-year partnership has provided plenty of valuable insights for Yamaha’s development, according to the team.

Gino Borsoi, Team Director of Pramac Yamaha team shared via Pramac’s Press release: “A rider and a person like Jack deserve to remain part of the structure, but sport is sport and, sooner or later, sometimes paths have to divide. We can only thank him for everything he has given us and wish him all the best for the future.”

While there hasn’t been any official announcement on what’s next for Miller, with all the seats on the MotoGP grid now filled, he is expected to make the move to Yamaha’s Superbike team.

Incoming rider

The vacant seat has already been taken up by Spanish rider, Izan Guevara who is currently riding for Pramac Yamaha’s Blu Cru in Moto 2. He has a Moto 3 world championship under his belt that he won in 2022. 

Guevara has rightfully earned the seat after showing consistent results and working his way up through the ranks. A notable moment came when he was given the opportunity to ride the Yamaha YZR-M1 during a private session at the Circuit Ricardo Tormo following last year’s Valencia test.

Gino Borsoi had set Guevara a condition, saying he would allow the youngster to ride the bike if he could deliver a race win with the Blu Cru team in Sepang. Shortly after, Guevara delivered, taking a win in Valencia.

As for the current Moto2 season, Guevara has already secured three pole positions, one race win, and five podium finishes. As a result, he currently sits second in the championship standings behind Manuel Gonzalez.

We are now left with just four seats yet to be announced, with Honda Factory, KTM Tech3, VR46 Racing, and LCR Honda still to complete their 2027 lineups.
