Created in collaboration with Oxagon, the design blends McLaren’s iconic orange with Oxagon’s shades of blue, symbolizing their shared values of innovation, sustainability, and industrial transformation. The livery, along with the drivers' suits and helmets, reflects the partnership’s forward-thinking vision. Presented during a fan event in Trafalgar Square, the launch highlights McLaren's shift toward entering the WEC Hypercar category in 2027 and ends their electric racing journey.

At a two-day fan experience in Trafalgar Square, NEOM McLaren revealed its special livery for the two London rounds, which will not only be the last for the 11th season of the ABB FIA Formula E Champhionship, but also for the British team. Indeed, with a view to entering the Hypercar category of the World Endurance Championship (WEC) from 2027, NEOM McLaren will officially leave the electric category at the end of this season.
It is from the re-imagined industrial city of Oxagon that the journey of the NEOM McLaren we all know begins. Crossing the futuristic landscape rising on the Red Sea, it sets off for London and, once docked, the end result represents the power of innovation through the fusion of design and technology. Behind the latter are the shared values of the collaboration with Oxagon that lead to the choice of the chromatics. Oxagon's various shades of blue combine with the orange of the McLaren identity to create the team's last livery for its home e-Prix and final weekend of the current season.
The collaboration between McLaren and Oxagon embodies the convergence of cutting-edge technology, sustainability, and a forward-thinking industrial vision. This partnership stands as a symbol for the future of the industry and the livery has been crafted to visually represent and celebrate this shared commitment, making these principles tangible through design. The same concept extends to the race suits and helmets of drivers Sam Bird and Taylor Barnard, further reinforcing the identity and values of the collaboration.
“This special edition livery offers a fresh take on our existing design - a purposeful “away kit’ that shines a light on Oxagon, one of NEOM’s key regions,” said Ian James, Team Principal, NEOM McLaren Electric Racing Team. “It represents more than bold visuals; it symbolizes a partnership rooted in innovation, collaboration and real-world industrial transformation.”
“Our work with the NEOM McLaren Electric Racing Team demonstrates how cross-industry partnerships can accelerate sustainable transformation,” said Vishal Wanchoo, CEO of Oxagon. “By combining McLaren’s performance and efficiency with Oxagon’s vision for clean, connected manufacturing, we’re advancing the kind of innovation that is shaping the future of industry.”
