The No.38 Hertz Team Jota Cadillac, that Sebastian Bourdais orignally qualified second on the grid, behind teammate Alex Lynn in the No12, has been given a one place grid penalty for impeding the No.93 Peugeot.

The incident occured at turn 12, the corner just before the long pit straight. The incident was deemed as not deliberate, but Bourdais still should have moved to the side to let the 9X8 through.

The penalty promotes Julien Andlauer's No.5 Porsche up to second, alongside Alex Lynn in the No12.
