Rowland believes "anything is possible" ahead of Formula E championship decider in London

The 2025/26 Formula E world championship has remained competitive between several drivers and teams, with the stage set for a championship decider at the final two races of the season in London. Nissan's Oliver Rowland sits fourth in the standings, just 14 points behind the championship leader, and believes that he may stand a decent chance of clinching the title in London.
With a maximum of 58 points on the table this weekend, Rowland is right in contention to become a two-time world champion and successfully defend his crown after winning the championship last season.
However, the Briton faces fierce competition. Fellow Brit, Jake Dennis, currently leads the championship from Jaguar's Mitch Evans and Porsche's Pascal Wehrlein. In order to become champion, Rowland needs to outscore all three of them, and needs to outscore Dennis by 15 points overall.
Speaking about his championship chances in London with DIVEBOMB's Owen Bradley, Rowland stated: "I guess anything is possible, 14 points is not a lot, you win both races, you win the championship. We just have to focus on doing the basics well, get some good results and stay out of trouble, see what the weekend brings. You can never script what's going to happen in these weekends."
The final two races in London will also be the last couple of races for Formula E's GEN3 cars, as well as also being the final two races held in the London docklands, with the London E-Prix moving to the Brands Hatch circuit next season.
Rowland won the final race of the 2023/24 season held in London in front of his home crowd, and was able to celebrate his championship victory last season at the London E-Prix.
Talking about the end of GEN3 and the London E-Prix at the Excel Arena, Rowland said: "There's a lot of positive things happening in the distance. I think GEN3, four-wheel drive, London, was a good era for Formula E but we have some exciting things coming up. I will miss it a little bit, but there's also a lot to look forward to."
Rowland will race for championship glory around the streets of London this weekend, with the first of two races this weekend getting underway on Saturday the 15th August at 15:05 local time.
