In a shock turn of events from Formula One Management (FOM), the Jeddah Corniche Circuit has arranged a deal to host a Saudi Arabian Grand Prix until the 2026 Formula 1 season.
The weekend of the 2022 Saudi Arabian Grand Prix was shrouded in controversy, due to missile strikes and a dangerous track, leading many people to state that there should never be another Grand Prix in Saudi Arabia.
Due to the pressure put on the teams and the drivers during this tense weekend, FOM were expected not to renew the contract held by the Jeddah Corniche Circuit. However, on Friday morning they released the following statement:
"[Jeddah Corniche Circuit] have assured us that if any more missiles are fired then they'll start putting people on the naughty step"
This news comes as a shock to fans all over the world, backlash is surely to be expected.
