Oliver Bearman was jubilant following a standout performance at the 2025 Mexico City Grand Prix, which he described as "crazy" and a massive "feel-good moment" for himself and the team.

The young driver, who was visibly emotional, was praised for a "special performance" that saw him score a significant haul of points. When asked to sum it up, Bearman immediately credited his team.
"I don't know, it was crazy," Bearman said. "So happy to take so many good points for the team and we did a really fantastic job, you know, strategically getting the car in the right window. It felt great underneath me, so perfect job".
The race saw Bearman "on a mission," getting his "elbows out" in a notable on-track battle with Max Verstappen. It was a moment Bearman particularly relished, marking a significant milestone in his career.
"Yeah, exactly, exactly. It's a feel-good moment," Bearman explained. "Also to go side by side with Max is a very cool feeling. He's someone I've basically grown up watching in Formula One, so it's awesome and really proud of the job that we did today".
Bearman scored points on debut at the 2024 Saudi Arabian Grand Prix when he filled in for Carlos Sainz. On one of the most demanding tracks on the calendar, the British driver scored a P7.
This result at the 2025 Mexico City Grand Prix continues a strong run of form for the driver, who feels the pace shown during the Grand Prix was a true reflection of his and the team's capability, even if their qualifying position did not show it.
"Definitely, definitely. We finished there on merit," he said. "Even if we didn't quite have the pace to qualify that, we had the race pace to say that, so I think we did an excellent job".
Looking ahead to the next race in Brazil, Bearman confirmed his confidence is high after proving his race craft.
"Now I just want to go and see the team and give them a big hug".
