Brandon Jones is the first to lock himself into the playoffs with a win via his third win at Kansas Speedway.
As it unfolded
It is a Joe Gibbs Racing front row with Jones on the pole and rookie Taylor Gray on the outside as they led the field to green. The two stayed door to door through the first turn until Jones pulled for the lead, and Sam Mayer made it a three-car battle for the lead. Gray swept around the outside and took the lead on the second lap.
Justin Allgaier was flying at the start and moved up to second by the ninth lap, and by Lap 14, Allgaier had taken over the lead from Gray. There was slight contact between Brennen Poole and Austin Green on Lap 35, but neither suffered damage or hit the wall. The stage was under a green flag the entire time as eight playoff drivers finished the stage in the top 10.
