Cadillac Hertz Team Jota have revealed a stunning gold livery for their upgraded V-Series R Hypercar which aims for World Endurance Championship (WEC) glory in 2026.
The livery for the latest spec of the Cadillac V-Series R Hypercar has officially been revealed as part of Team Jota’s presentation for the upcoming World Endurance Championship (WEC) campaign. Gold is the main colour with touches of red and black also present.
The revised car has already seen track action at the Rolex at Daytona 24 IMSA season opener, where the No.31 car narrowly missed out on GTP honours to Porsche’s No.7 963, by 1.569 seconds.

Cadillac has introduced possibly the most visually distinctive upgrade package of any other manufacturer for 2026. Substantial aerodynamic revisions have been made, highlighted by a newly developed front splitter and rear wing. Also a complete transition to the Brembo braking system has been incorporated.
The team has subsequently used a total of three evo jokers since the start of 2025, out of the total five allowed for the initial five-year cycle of the car, that started in 2023.
Sam Hignett JOTA's Co-Founder and Director acknowledged the need for greater consistency if a title bid is to come, commenting: “We knew the strength of the car was its one-lap pace. That’s where we could really maximise our opportunity, and we took advantage of it everywhere we could.”
“There’s been a huge amount of work getting used to the new Michelin tyre that everybody will run in 2026, and that’s where the cohesive relationship between us, Wayne Taylor Racing and Action Express Racing [in IMSA] is so valuable. Those guys will have done Daytona and Sebring before we even turn up in Qatar, so we can learn from what they’ve learnt with the tyre and their understanding of how to get the best out of it.”
Team Jota’s driver lineup remains the same as last year’s for the most part. Alex Lynn, Norman Nato and Will Stevens again share the No.12 car with Earl Bamber and Sebastien Bourdais once more in the No.38 car, with Jack Aitken replacing Jenson Button, after the Briton announced his retirement from racing at the end of 2025.
Aitken, already a Cadillac driver in IMSA since 2023, makes the switch to WEC and is already well accustomed to the demands of the car, also having driven it in Le Mans three times.

Aforementioned 2025 standout driver Alex Lynn stated that the aim for the upcoming season is for Cadillac to be a contender in every single round.
Lynn said: “It was such a good start to the programme with JOTA last year – maybe more than even I had anticipated. Genuinely, from the first event, the car was almost transformed in terms of performance, and what we could extract from it every single weekend was astonishing.”
“From that start point to now, we can really try to dream of it all. Before, to dream of winning just one race was quite a big thing. Now, we go into every weekend thinking we can win. That’s a very big mentality shift. Ultimately, the proof will be in the pudding, but that’s why we’re all here and why we all work so hard – to try to win Le Mans and try to win the World Championship. That’s the goal.”
Hertz Team Jota aim for more WEC wins in 2026, after a promising campaign last season, which saw the No.12 car grab victory at the 6 Hours of São Paulo, with the team taking two more podiums en route to a 4th place constructors finish, just seven points behind Porsche.
