Taking a measured win under the chaotic Race 1 conditions and putting up a brave fight in Race 2 to safely bring home the championship, Doriane Pin has sealed the 2025 F1 Academy Drivers' title ahead of Maya Weug who put up a valiant effort for the title in the final race after crashing out in Race 1.

The season finale won by Chloe Chambers on home soil from pole had many thrilling narratives, but none more victorious as Doriane Pin clinching the 2025 F1 Academy Drivers' Championship.
Pin has now scored in every single F1 Academy race she participated in, recording four wins and eight podiums this season. With this title, she becomes the third ever F1 Academy Drivers' Champion, following the success of inaugural champion Marta García and 2024 champion Abbi Pulling.
The Mercedes driver, nicknamed ‘the Pocket Rocket’, has enjoyed a meteoric rise through the ranks of motorsport in her journey to becoming the 2025 F1 Academy champion.
Her maiden F1 Academy season in 2024 kicked off with a bang, as she secured a win on debut in Jeddah. Pin went on to record two more wins over the course of the year, and became Pulling’s title rival early in the season.
Finishing 2024 as vice champion, Pin was the overwhelming favourite for the title coming into 2025.
She enjoyed a string of consistent performances throughout the year, and despite losing the championship lead to key title rival Maya Weug early in the year, Pin came fighting back mid-season.
With a crucial victory and podium in Montreal, Pin regained control of the championship, and sailed on steadily despite Weug’s late-season resurgence.
Entering the season finale with just nine points as buffer to Weug, the Mercedes driver showed clinical collectedness through the unprecedented conditions of Race 1 in Las Vegas, taking her championship advantage to 20 points after Weug crashed out.
Her consistency paid dividends, as coming into the final race of the season, Pin only needed to finish seventh or higher no matter where Weug finished to seal the title.
Taking P5 in Race 2, Pin safely brought home the championship after some excellent racing action between herself, Weug as well as Alba Larsen.

Pin’s journey to the F1 Academy title has been built on resilience, pure effort and undeniable raw talent.
After graduating from karting as the French Champion, Pin took part in the Renault Clio Cup in 2020, after which her breakthrough moment came with an offer to join the Iron Dames.
In 2021, Pin won the 24 Hours of Spa-Francorchamps, and later took a monumental success in the European Le Mans Series season finale, the Iron Dames’ first victory in the series.
She then made the leap to the World Endurance Championship’s (WEC) LMP2 category in 2023, driving alongside Mirko Bortolotti and Daniil Kvyat at PREMA Racing.
The Frenchwoman went on to record a string of successes, earning her the prized ‘Revelation of the Year’ award, making history as the first woman to win the honour.
Pin continued her racing career with experiences in the South East Asian F4 Championship in 2023 as well as the F4 UAE series in 2024, joining F1 Academy with PREMA backed by Mercedes that year.
As she signs off on her time in F1 Academy with the vice championship in her maiden year and the Drivers’ Championship victory in her final season, it’s clear that Pin’s journey in motorsport is only just beginning, with many more successes to come ahead.
