DS Penske announce Nikita Bedrin and Daniil Kvyat for Madrid Rookie Test

DS Penske have become the latest team to reveal their driver line-up for the upcoming rookie test in Madrid, as they will field Daniil Kvyat and Nikita Bedrin for the one-day test at the Circuito del Jarama.
Bedrin serves as DS Penske's Development Driver, and has been a regular figure in the team's rookie tests and free practice appearances. The Russian-Italian driver took part in the Rookie Test in Berlin in 2025, and the Rookie Free Practice in Miami earlier this year. Bedrin rounded out the top five in the classification in Miami.
He will also take part in GB3 in 2026, driving for VRD Racing, as he aims to fight for the title. Bedrin has also driven in Formula 3 before for AIX Racing, scoring a race win in Hungary in 2024.
Among his accomplishments include several karting championships, including the WSK Super Master Series and the Champions Of The Future titles in his final year of karting in 2020.
He will be joined by Kvyat, who also took part in the Rookie Test in Berlin in 2025 for DS Penske. The Russian has also driven for NIO 333 in Formula E in rookie tests earlier.
Kvyat's wide-ranging career has spanned multiple divisions of racing. The 2013 GP3 champion received an elevation to drive for Toro Rosso (now Racing Bulls) back in 2014, before stepping up to Red Bull in 2015.
After an F1 career riddled with incidents saw Kvyat's time in the sport come to an end in 2020, he has made the switch to NASCAR, before joining Lamborghini's hypercar team for the 2024 World Endurance Championship season.
With the Italian manufacturer leaving the sport at the end of the season, Kvyat moved stateside once again to race for their sportscar division in IMSA.
He now moves into Japan for his latest adventure, signing with the manufacturer for the upcoming Super GT season.
