Genesis Magma Racing have revealed the livery that their No.17 GMR-001 will sport throughout their debut season in the World Endurance Championship.
Genesis will enter into the WEC for the first time this season, with a thoroughly experienced driver line-up consisting of: André Lotterer, Luis Felipe Derani and Mathys Jaubert, racing the No.17 GMR-001.
The No.19 GMR-001, which will be driven by Paul-Loup Chatin, Mathieu Jaminet and Daniel Juncadella, is expected to have a different colour scheme.
The black and orange colour scheme appears to be paying homage to their Korean heritage. Luc Donckerwolke, Hyundai Motor Group President, stated: “As a Korean manufacturer, we also wanted to honour our roots and heritage by utilising the word 'magma' written in Hangeul, the Korean alphabet. Throughout the design evolution, this element became a strong graphic identifier that we decided to use not only for GMR-001 Hypercar but also for our garage, structures and team uniforms.”

Donckerwolke continued: “While applying our design philosophy principle, ‘athletic elegance’, to the livery, we focused on respecting the shapes of GMR-001 Hypercar and its details, such as the Two-Line headlights and the parabolic line in the body."
Some manufacturers that have recently joined the WEC have struggled to adapt to the championship, and have faced a plethora of problems. Alpine announced earlier this year that they will be departing the sport at the end of 2026, whilst Aston Martin faced a somewhat tumultuous debut season in the sport.
Ahead of their debut, Genesis Magma Racing Chief Engineer, Justin Taylor, laid out their goals: "Our first target this season is to finish races. No problems. No penalties. Then we can start to look to move forward in the Hypercar class, step-by-step, Hyperpole appearances, achieving finishes on the lead lap, challenging for top fives on pace.”
The GMR-001 will be making its' first appearance at the first round of the WEC championship, that will take place from the 17th - 19th April.

Great to see the new Genesis livery – that dark red and gold combination looks stunning under lights. I’m curious how they’ll perform against the Hypercar field in their debut season. On a completely different note, I actually came across thereviewscasinos while looking through some gaming forums. What stood out to me was how clear and straightforward the comparisons were – no hidden fine print, just honest breakdowns of bonuses and payout speeds. I decided to try a few of their recommended platforms, and just as I was about to call it a night, I hit a lucky streak that turned the session around. It was a great feeling! Back to WEC, do you think Genesis has a chance t…
Greetings all, I saw VIP cashback Australia mentioned in a discussion where people were sharing their experiences with different platforms. I decided to give it a look myself. I liked that the idea was simple and didn’t require too much effort to understand. After spending some time there, it felt like something that could actually be useful if you play regularly.
