LIVE: WEC 6 Hours of Barcelona
The penultimate round of the World Endurance Championship (WEC) takes place at the Circuit de Barcelona-Catalunya today, with six hours of Hypercar and LMGT3 action lined up.
After yesterday's split qualifying and FP3 sessions, Genesis took an unexpected pole in Hypercar, with the No.10 McLaren heading the GT field.
Being the second to last round, all eyes turn to the championship table. All championships in both classes could be sealed this weekend, by Toyota and their No.8 car in Hypercar, and Jonny Edgar and his No.33 TF Sport Corvette crew.
The No.8 Toyota has slotted itself in between the two Genesis cars on the front row of the grid, looking to capitalise on their closest rivals - No.20 BMW - starting all the way down in 14th. The same can be said for the manufacturers title, with the No.7 Toyota in ninth and the No.15 BMW in 16th
Edgar and the No.33 competed in their first Hyperpole of the season yesterday, finishing the session in fourth, with their biggest title rivals - the No.27 Heart of Racing Aston Martin - starting dead last.
With weather going to be a factor too, it's bound to be an exciting race. DIVEBOMB's Marios Gantzoudis and Aaron Carroll are here to take you through all the action.
