Former Williams Formula One driver, Logan Sargeant, will return to motorsport in the PR1 Mathiasen LMP2 in the IMSA WeatherTech Sportscar championship.
The 24-year old American driver will partner Naveen Rao and Benjamin Pedersen in the No.52 Oreca 07 LMP2 at the final two rounds of the IMSA championship at Indianapolis and Road Atlanta.
Sargeant commented, “I’m super excited to be jumping back into a car for the last two LMP2 races in IMSA with PR1/Mathiasen Motorsports. It’s a great opportunity to drive at two special tracks, Indianapolis and Road Atlanta, and help push for good results with my teammates Ben and Naveen.
''I’m eager to contribute to a successful couple races for the team, and bring my knowledge and experience to everyone involved.''
Earlier in the year, the Florida native pulled out of a European Le Mans Series campaign with IDEC Sport and Genesis Magma Racing, a team that sits second in the championship now, with two wins to their name.
Sargeant has also joined former Corvette racer Oliver Gavin's Motorsport Management crew (OGMM), aiming to focus the rest of his career on sportscar and endurance racing.

The American has limited sportscar experience, with a handful of races in LMP2 in 2021, and a couple in an Iron Lynx GT3.
Sargeant will see his first motorsport action since he left F1 in 2024 on the 21st of September, when the green flag falls for the Battle of the Bricks.
