Zanella Racing later commented on the disqualification on a social media post:
"As driver championship leaders and team championship leaders, the nonstop pressure and complaints from competing teams has become increasingly difficult to ignore. It is unfortunate that this atmosphere has contributed to an inconsistent application of the rules.
"I, Jose Zanella, want to formally express my strong disagreement with the series’ decision to disqualify one of our cars, a decision we believe lacks both procedural foundation and sporting justification.
"We respectfully request a formal review of this decision and urge the Series to ensure protest protocols are followed correctly, penalties are applied fairly and consistently, and that safety-based decisions are considered in their proper context. Our goal is to uphold the integrity of the competition and ensure a level playing field for all teams."

The final step of the podium would go to VRD Racing's Teddy Musella which signified an all-rookie podium for Race 2.
