BMW will run three cars at this years running of the Nürburgring 24h, two by reigning champions Rowe Racing, and one by Schubert Motorsport. The manufacturer is challenging for its 22nd win this year.

Due to a clash with the IMSA, BMW only entered one car (with the Rowe Racing team) to the SP9 (GT3) field in 2025, against the odds, this car won the race in a dramatic fashion, after locking horns with the Manthey Porsche for 24 hours.

The car's line-up remains unchanged with the No.1 on it's bonnet for this year, with Kelvin van der Linde, Augusto Farfus and Raffaele Marciello behind the wheel. The trio will be joined by Jordan Pepper this time, who is fresh to the BMW factory driver pool.

Despite having only served for BMW for a short period of time so far, the South African already has a 24 hour race win in the M4 GT3 Evo, thanks to an excellent performance at the Dubai 24h.

The No.99 Rowe Racing car will be driven by Sheldon van der Linde, Max Hesse, Dan Harper and Dries Vanthoor, who has won the race twice in the past, in 2019 and 2022.

The third BMW will be raced by Schubert Motorsport, the No.77 will be piloted by Charles Weerts, Marco Wittmann, Robin Frijns and Philipp Eng.

BMW are challenging the rest of the field with a star studded line-up of factory drivers, who have many wins amongst them. To prepare for the race, both Rowe Racing and Schubert Motorsport will compete in the first two rounds of the NLS season. Only the Schubert Motorsport car will race at the third NLS round, and both teams will be back for the 24h Qualifiers in April.

Andreas Roos, head of BMW M Motorsport said: "Our three 2025 champions are highly motivated to defend their title. With ROWE Racing and Schubert Motorsport, we have not only two top teams but also twelve outstanding works drivers on the grid.

"That gives us the best possible foundation to secure BMW’s 22nd overall victory in the ‘Green Hell’ in front of this impressive backdrop."
