BMW unveiled their new 2025 challenger at the Nurburgring on Wednesday evening, in the week the fan favorite track is due to host the annual Nurburgring 24 Hours.
The updated version of the current M4 the German Manufacturer runs, comes just three years after its predecessor first raced in 2022, replacing the M6.
Included in the updates are new headlights, aerodynamics, bodywork, suspension, brakes and rear wing. According to BMW, the P58 inline 6-cylinder engine with M TwinPower Turbo technology has a max output of 590 horsepower, from 3.0L engine giving it a 197hp/l output.
Björn Lellmann, Head of Customer Racing at BMW M Motorsport has said:
“Our engineers have listened very carefully to the feedback from our customers during the development of the EVO cars. The result, in our view, are models that make it even more possible to be consistently close to the limit without taking too much risk.”
The current M4 GT3 model has had its fair share of success in its three-year racing career, accolades ranging from championship titles in DTM and IMSA, to victory in the 2023 Spa 24 Hours, among many others along the way. Not to mention, the car has also won four out of the first five races in GT World Challenge Europe this year.
The German giant also unveiled a new GT4 car alongside the M4 Evo, the BMW M4 GT4 Evo. The manufacturer hopes to have both cars on the grid, and competing for race wins in the 2025 season.
