Arthur Leclerc expressed his frustration with his 12th place qualifying position on Friday, acknowledging that it is an area he needs to improve in the future. "I’m not happy with my lap in qualifying, it wasn’t good enough for the top-10. It’s something I need to work on for the future," said the DAMS driver.
Despite narrowly missing out on points in Saturday's Sprint Race, Leclerc was pleased with his strong start and overall pace. "The start was strong and I kept pushing, but unfortunately we ran out of laps to make it into the points."
Sunday brought better results for Leclerc, thanks to a different strategic approach: "Today I was pleased with the drive, starting P12 we ran long on the alternate strategy and managed to get into the top-10."
The Monégasque driver ran longer with hard tires and eventually finished P9 having gained positions during the pit stop phase.
Currently, Leclerc sits 13th in the championship standings, having achieved one podium finish so far this season.
